OBIT: William C. Morris, 2002, Garrard Co. From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 29 Dec 2002 LANCASTER -- William C. Morris, 85, of Davenport, Fla., died Tuesday at his residence. Born March 22, 1917, in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Allen and Amanda Sowder Morris. He was a retired lieutenant colonel in the Army, a veteran of World War II, and a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Frankfort. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Morris; a son, Harry Allen Morris of Nashville, Tenn.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Ramsey Funeral Home by Jim Silvers. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Ramsey Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be David Sowder, Glen, Michael and Kevin Vance, Jason Morris and Leonard Richardson.
