Governor of Kentucky in the Just and full sum of Fifty pounds Current money the payment of which well and truely to be made we bind our selves and Each of our heirs & Jointly & Severally firmly by these presents Sealed and Dated the 23rd June 1801. The Condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a marriage shortly intended to be solemnized between the above bound William Isam & Betsy Compton for which a License has Issued now should there be no Lawful Cause to Obstruct said marriage then the above Obligation to be Void Else to remain in full force & virtue.
