(from a photo-copy) His wife was Nancy, nee Dunn. Dated 22 Jun 1819 - probated Oct Ct 1819 In the name of God Amen I Thomas Wilson of Garrard County and state of Kentucky being weak in body but sound in mind do make and ordain this my last will and Testament as follows: ITEM: I give and bequeath unto my son Benjamin Wilson the Blacksmith Shop and tools and a piece of Land the quanity not known - Beginning in the road paralel(sic) to a row of apple trees that has a cherry tree in it to my spring brnach thence down the spring branch meandering to the same to John Jennings line thence with his line to the road first mentioned and thence with the road to the Beginning to him and to hold forever - ITEM: I lend unto my beloved wife Nancy Wilson the whole of the Balance of my estate real and personal during her life or widowhood & in Liew of her dower after She has disposed of as much of my property which is necessary to pay all my last debts and hereby empower her as my sole Executors after paying my debts as above mentioned to sell dispose of any part of said estate for the schooling my children as she may think proper and also may if she think fit lending of my said property to my children as they become of age. ITEM: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Polly Turner a negro girl named Fanny worth five hundred dollars and also other property and horse saddle and bridle and bed worth 100 Dollars (which I have heretofore lent her to have and hold forever - ITEM: I give and bequeath to my daughter Nelly Cosby a negro girl named Liddy with Four Hundred and fifty dollars also a horse saddle bridle and bed worth one hundred dollars (which I have heretofore lent her to have and to hold forever. And after my wifes death or if she should remarry I give and bequeath to my daughter Betty a negro girl Charity & her increase worth now four hundred dollars to have and to hold forever - ITEM: AFter my wifes death or if she should marry I give and bequeath to my daughter Sally a negro girl named Jane and her increase worth at this time four hundred dollars to have and to hold forever ALSO: it is my will and desire at the death of my said wife or in case of her marrying as above stted to give as much to my three youngest daughters Matilda, Lucinda & Nacky as much of my estate as will make them equal with the rest of my children. ITEM: At the death of my wife or in case she should marry at either of which I give and bequeath to my son Micajah a negro man named Jerry to have and to hold forever and at the death of my wife or in case she should marry I give and bequeath to my son benjamin a negro boy named Jacob to have and to hold forever. And after disposing of my estate in manner above stated my will and desire is if there should be any property or money left to be divided between all my children in such mannor as to make theem all equal including their parts as received above excepting Micajah and Benjamin I give one equal part of the balance above named if there should be any without any reference to any legacy I have bequeathed them as I have not valued theirs - Given under my hand and seal this 22nd day of June 1819 Thos Wilson and in the presence of Teste: Samuel Mullins Benjamin Dunn James Cecil Garrard Co Ct.
