Surname: Sechrest, Reynolds, Robinson Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 7th ed.,Grant Co. BENJAMIN T. SECHREST was born in Grant County, Ky., February 6, 1835, and is the youngest of seven children born to William and Honor (Reynolds) Sechrest, natives of Virginia and Jessamine County, respectively. The grandfather of our subject emigrated from Maryland to Grant County. He was born in 1786, was a farmer, and a Methodist Episcopal preacher, and died in 1854. Benjamin T. Sechrest was reared on a farm, has always been a farmer, and owns 200 acres of land, one mile from Crittenden. December 16, 1863, he married Evaline Robinson, of Pendleton County, Ky., a daughter of Jacob and Anna Robinson. Three children have blessed this union, viz: John J., William F. and Anna L. Mr. Sechrest is deputy sheriff of Grant County, and a Democrat.
