WILLIAMS was born in Glenmorganshire, England, December 28, 1819. He is the second of four children born to John and Mary Williams. D. W.Williams came to the United States when he was nineteen years of age, settled in Pennsylvania for a short time, then moved to Wisconsin, and remained one year, then to Covington, Ky. In 1859 he moved to Grant County, Ky. He is an iron roller by trade, and worked at his trade until 1859; since then he has been engaged in agricultural pursuits and hotel keeping. May 26, 1859, he married Elizabeth Wills of Virginia, and has six living children: Joseph, Emma, Charles, Mary, Ellis and Napoleon B. Mrs. Elizabeth Williams, his wife, is a Catholic. He owns 900 acres of fine land. Mr. Williams has many friends, and is a very agreeable gentleman.
