Graves County, KY - Deed of Enos Pipkin to Enos D. Pipkin, 1847 Submitted by: Guy Potts ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This Indenture made and entered into this 30th day of January, 1847 between Enos Pipkin of the one part and Enos D. Pipkin of the other part both of Maury County, and the state of Tennessee witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged I do hereby bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said Enos D. Pipkin a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Graves in the state of Kentucky being the northwest quarter of section twenty three township two range one west containing one hundred and sixty acres being the same granted by the state of Kentucky to Joseph Foster by grant dated the 28th day of December 1837. I do by these presents bind myself my Executors or Administrators to forever warrant and defend the right and title to the above described tract of land unto the said Enos D. Pipkin, his heirs or assigns against the claim of all and every other or persons whatever - My hand and seal this day and year above Enos Pipkin Attest: Wm. W. Coleman D.K. Cook State of Tennessee Maury County personally appeared before me William E. Enoin, Clerk of the county of Maury the within named Enos Pipkin the bargainer with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he signed sealed and executed the within deed for the purpose therein stated and expressed upon the day it was dated.
