James T. Webb, Mayfield Messenger Wednesday evening, October 30, 1901 The Subject of this sketch was born in Graves County, Kentucky, June 8, 1853. He was raised in the county and educated in the common schools. He chose law as his profession and has given it his time and attention ever since. He married December 23, 1878, to Mrs. M.M. Johnston, and three children have been the result of their marriage. He is a member of the Presbyterian Church and a democrat in politics. He never held any office before except one term as county attorney.
