OBIT: Tilathia Frances Bridges Johnson, born in Mayfield, Graves County, KY., died Feb. 22, 1931 Submitted by: Daymon Gililland VAN ZANDT COUNTY GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY'S This Week In Wills Point History Wills Point Chronicle, February 26, 1931 "Mrs. Frances Johnson died Sunday morning, Feb. 22, 1931 at 4 o'clock at the home of her son, F. W. Anderson, in Wills Point and funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Dr. L. F. Brothers, at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, burial followed in White Rose cemetery. Miss Tilathia Frances Bridges Johnson was born Jan. 21, 1841 in Mayfield, Ky. and came to Texas in 1847 with her parents, when only six years old, the trip being made in ox wagons. The family first settled in Kaufman County, near what was known as Johnson's Point. She was married to W. L. Anderson in Van Zandt County on April 16, 1861. To this union were born three children, only one of whom survives. She was married to J. B. Johnson on Feb. 14, 1869, and to this union were born two children, John Johnson and Mrs. Frances Lybrand, both of whom preceded their mother to the grave." NOTE: See paper for remainder of obituary.
