Aerghbory. Jon Patternson, William Brunk and Henry Litsey. The court of Grayson County in the state of Kentucky now sitting John Fulkerson a resident of Grayson County and state of Kentucky aged seventy seven years Who being first duly sworn according to the law doth in his oath make the following declaration in order to obtain the benefit of the act of congress _____ June 7th 1832. That he entered the service of the United States under the following named officers Captain Headly & Cole Esshvain Martin Militia offers of the sate of New Jersey. That he was first drafted at the Susan County Military State of New Jersey for one month, he entered the service in the Year 1776 and in the Millie for New Jersey and that he served about four years altogether being Sometimes drafted and some times turned out volunteer and served under The following officers Gen Starling, Gen Miny, Col Martin Col Howard, Col Freelinghouse Col Hunt, Captain Hedley-Capt, Hill, Apt Johnson Capt Beckunth Capt Guntryman Capt Logan, Capt Cooper, Capt Stull, Capt Dunlap, Leut Dye & Leut Sutfrin that he served six months under Capt. Cooper ( All of this is already on the KYGEnWeb Archives) This is the newer part, I received with the full pension papers 5222 Margaret Fulkerson Widow of John Fulkerson who died 15 Jan 1835 Of ________in the State of Kentucky who was a private in the _____comended by Captain_________of the _____by ____ in the Revolution line for 11months Inscribed on the ____Louisville at the rate of 36 Dollars 660---per annum to commence on the 15th day of January 1832 Ending Jany 29 1839 Certificate of Pension issued the 22 day of April 1835 and??????? Recorded by ???????Clerk Book D. Vol 2 Page 7 State Of Kentucky Grayson County Sct. On this the 25th day of March 1852, personally appeared before M AC M Beath an acting Justice of the Peace in and for the county and State aforesaid Benjamin O. Fulkerson, who being duly sworn according to Law, doth on his oath make the following declaration in order to obtain the benefit of the Act of Congress passed (4th July 1836 Towit: that he is the administrator of the estate of Margaret Fulkerson deceased who was the wife of John Fulkerson dec'd, who made a pension under the act of Congress passed 7th of June 1832 at the rate of Eighty Dollars per annum.That he being the aforesaid Margaret and John Fulkerson were married in the year seventeen hundred and seventy four (1774) He must respectfully ask that her aforesaid claim may be allowed, and that the certificate evidencing the same may be enclosed to his Attorney E. S. Bruni? Of Elizabethtown Ky. That the aforesaid Margaret Fulkerson did on the 29th day of January 1839 (eighteen hundred and thirty nine) and let seven children whose names are as follows Peter, Phillip, James, Polly McGrew, Sophia Richardson, Margaret Richardson & Phebe Harris who are her only living Children. Sworn and subscribed Benjamin O. Fulkerson Before me, the day & Att. Of Margaret Fulkerson Year aforesaid. A.C. M Beath Justice of the peace State of Kentucky Grayson Co. Sct: J. Edwin Thomas Clerk of the county Court for the county aforesaid, do certify that it has on this any satisfactory Append to me that Margaret Fulkerson the widow of John Fulkerson (who was pensioner of the United States, at the value of Eighty Dollars per anium, and died on 15th day of January 1835) desd on the 29th day of January 1839 , and left seven Children towit Peter, Phillip, James, Polly McGrew, Sophia Richardson, Margaret Richardson & Phebe Harris, who are her only living Children, and that Benjamin O. Fulkerson is the administrator of her estate.
