LAND: Grant South of Green River William Lee Green County, KY Book 3 Page 504 - 505 FHC #0272829 Christopher Greenup Esq Governor of the commonwealth of Kentucky to all whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that by virtue and in Consideration of a Certificate number seven(?) hundred and seventy one granted by the commissioners in seventeen hundred and ninety Eight agreeably to an act of assembly for encouraging and granting relief to settlers there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto William Lee assignee of Samuel Dickson (?) a Certain tract or parcel of Land Containing one hundred acres by survey bearing date the twenty second day of June one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine lying and being in the County of Green on Smiths Creek waters of spring Creek waters of Abeys River and bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at a Sugartree in Tallys line on a branch thence with Meeks line up the middle of the Branch with its different meanders to the middle of the Spring thence North (?) sixty East fourteen poles to a Lynn and two beeches Thence with said Meeks Claim South fifty five East fifty five poles to an Elm in a dry branch thence due East Eighty poles to an ash dogwood and beech thence South forty five East sixty poles to a Stake thence South forty five west one hundred and twenty six poles to a Stake in a line of Sanduskys survey thence North forty five west one hundred and Eighty poles to the Beginning with its appurtenances To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land with its appurtenances to the said William Lee and his Heirs forever In Witness whereof the said Christopher Greenup Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hath hereunto set his hand and caused the seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Frankfort on the second day of December in the year of Our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and seven and of the Commonwealth the sixteenth.
