LAND: Grant South of Green River William Lee Green County, KY Book 2 Page 262 FHC #0272828 Christopher Greenup Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to all to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye That by virtue and in consideration of a certificate No 743 granted by the commissioners in 1798 agreeable to an act of Assembly for incouraging and granting relief to Setlers There is granted by the Said Commonwealth unto William Lee assignee of Jacob Sandusky a certain tract or parcel of Land containing two hundred acres by Survey bearing date the 15th day of June 1799 lying and being in the county of Green on the head of Smiths creek the waters of Abeys River and bounded as followeth, to wit, Beginning at a walnut and Elm thence South thirty degrees East one hundred and seventy nine poles to a black Oak and Dogwood thence North Sixty degrees East one hundred and seventy nine poles to a Hickory Dogwood and Ash thence North thirty degrees West one hundred and seventy nine poles to a Stake thence South sixty degrees West Joining Dicksons claim one hundred and seventy nine poles to the place of Beginning with its appurtenances To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land with its appurtenances to the said William Lee and his heirs forever In witness whereof the said Christopher Greenup Esq Governor of the commonwealth of Kentucky hath hereunto set his hand and caused the seal of of the Said commonwealth to be affixed at Frankfort on the 29th day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred four & of the commonwealth the thirteenth. _______ Greenup _______________ Margin Notes: Will Lee 200 acres Examined & Delivered 29th ___ 1804 & Delivered to Mosse(?)
