WILL: THE ESTATE APPRAISAL OF: JOHN EDWARDS Green County, KY BOOK #6 1839-1844 PAGE 322-334 By the instigation of the devil at the house of John Edwards in Green County in and upon himself then and there being in the peace of God and the said Commonwealth feloniously voluntarily and of his malice aforethought made an assault and that the aforesaid John Edwards then and there with a certain razor which he the said Edwards then and there held in his hand himself upon his throat, then and there feloniously voluntarily and of his malice aforethought did strike and give himself then and there with the razor aforesaid upon his throat aforesaid one mortal wound of the breadth of eight inches and the depth of three inches of which said mortal wound that the said John Edwards at his own house aforesaid in Green County Kentucky of which now he died immediately on the 30th day of November 1842 and that the said Edwards on the 30th day of November 1842 aforesaid in the year aforesaid in the county aforesaid of that wound died and so the person aforesaid upon their oaths aforesaid say that the said John Edwards then and there in manner and form aforesaid as a felon of himself feloniously voluntarily and of his malice aforethought himself killed and murdered against the peace and dignity of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. In witness whereof as was the Coroner as the person have to this inquistion put their hand and seal, on the 14th day of December 1842 and at the resedence [sic] of said John Edwards.
