State of KENTUCKY ,County of Greenup,ss:
On this 8th day of July,A.D.,one thousand eight hundred and
ninety-one,personally appeared before me, A Clerk
of the County court,the same being a Court of Record for the county and State
aforesaid Margaret jane Jackson,aged 46? years,a resident of
the town of Greenup,county of Greenup, State of
Kentucky,who,being duly sworn accordint to law,declares that she is the widow
of Jarvis Jackson,who enlisted under the name of Jarvis Jackson
at Booneville Ky.,on the 10 day of August
A.D. 1863,in as Private in "Capt John C Wilsons"Co.C
47th Regiment,Kentucky Infantry Vols
to serve One Year and during the war
served at least ninety days in the late War of Rebellion,who was Honorably
Discharged
the 26th day of December 1864,and died December 19 1887

That said married under the name of Margaret Jane Gibson, to said
Jarvis Jackson,on or about the 18th of December
1859,by Squire Hooper (Wm) at Barbourville Ky
there being no legal barrier to said marriage    was none
was no former marriage of either party

That she had not remarried since the death of Jarvis Jackson
That she is without other means of support than her daily labor.that names
and dates of birth of all the
children now living under sixteen years of age of the soldier are as follows

Mildred A ,born Nov 25,1874
Hattie B , born Nov 3 ,1876
Walter Thos,born Oct 12 1878

That she has not applied for pension and the number of former application
is-------------------

declaration for the purpose of being placed on the pension roll of the United
States under the provision of
the
Act of June 27 1890

She hereby appoints with full power of substitution and revocation,Charles
W.Wytinger
-----------------------------------------of Greenup, State of Kentucky,
her true and lawfull attorney to prosecute her claim. That her post-office
