Franks June 28, 1997 ==================================================================== 74 YEAR-OLD PAPA OF 21 CASTS VOTE FOR CHANDLER Greenup, Ky., Aug 6 -- Bunion Thacker, 74 year-old farmer whose 25-year-old second wife presented him with his 21st child today, was so nervous at the polls that he had to ask the election clerk to mark his ballot for "Joe Bates for congress and Happy Chandler for senator." Then the clerk helped him name the new girl Helen Bale Thacker. Thacker thanked the clerk and apologized because his wife couldn't vote today. >From the scrapbook of Annie Page Wiley
