I devise to my son Thomas Campbell the lower half of my tract of land being and laying in Lawrence County and on the waters of Bigland River and which I bought of Lewis Craig. I also devise to my son James Campbell the upper half of the above described tract of land, to them and their heirs forever. I also devise to my wife, Henrietta Campbell, our negro man named Aaron, also one negro woman named Darcus and one negro girl named Louisa to her and her heir forever. In witness of which I here with set my hand and seal, this twelfth day of October, one thousand eight hundred twenty three. This day the last will and testament of Johnson Campbell was produced in open court by Daniel Blankinship and proved by the oaths of said Daniel Blakinship and John A Jones two subscribing witnesses thereto to be the last will and testament of the said Johnson Campbell, and that they subscribed their names as witnesses in the presence and at the request of the said testator and that he was a sound man and desposing memory, and thereupon the same is odered to be recorded which has been accordingly done in my office [signed John Hockaday]
