C. GREENWELL KILLED C. C. GREENWELL, formerly of Hancock County, Ky, committed suicide on Wednesday, February 3, 1904 at Owensboro, Ky (Daviess County) by throwing himself under the wheels of the passenger train #41, on the Henderson Route. As the train approached, GREENWELL jumped between the rails and lay down. The breakes were applied and the engineer reversed his engine, but the train could not be stopped. It passed over him, and he was crushed lifeless. GREENWELL had been in bad health for some time, and despondent. He leaves a wife and five children.
