Herny Dink was born in Bavaria,Germany on January 2,1828, he came to America when he was a 
lad of 18 years of age,and spent a full and useful life in his adopted Country.he lived to 
an age of 93 years,four months and 16 days and never returned to the old Country, as all of 
his family had died within a few years after he Immigrating to America, In making his way to 
West Point,Herny Dink frist operated a saw mill on the Salt  River .After  the mill was 
destroyed by fire he purchased a large farm on a hill above West Point where he pioneered 
in the fruit growing business in this area.He was very Successful fruit grower and with in a 
short time a number of neighbors developed large peach and apple orchards in the following 
his example. Mr.Dink was Married to Miss Margaret Bishop of New Castle,Ky There children 
included Louise Dink : Dr.Richard Dink : Mrs W.M Hart : Mrs: W.H Thompson : Mrs. W.K Smith 
and Miss.Maggie Dink
