Deed Book D, p 325, July 9, 1810: This indenture made this 9th day of July in the year 1810 
Between George HELM and Rebecca his wie of the County of Hardin and State of Kentuckyof the 
one part and Alexander MERRIFIELD of the County and State aforesiad of the other part. 
Wittnesseth that the said George HELM and Rebecca his wife for and in consideration of the 
Sum of eight hundred and Eighty Eight Dollats to them in hand paid by the said Merrifield in 
HORSES Hath granted Bargained and Sold and do by these present grant bargain and sell alien 
and conferm unto the said Alexander Merrifield and his heirs and assigns a certain tract or 
parcel of land containing by survey one hundred and Eighty one acres lying and being in 
SHELBY Cojnty on LITTLE BOOLSKIN and Bounded as follows VIZ: Beginning at a Small black oak 
walnut & oak Staking in a line of Benjamin LOGANs Survey running then S32W187 poles to a 
Walnut and Hickory in said LOGANS line thence West 144!/2 poles to a Hickory Stump in 
William WARKINS field it bing one of the Corner Trees of John LARUE 900 acre survey thence 
North 151 to be out of the said 900 thence East with his line 240 poles to the Beginning to 
have and to hold the aforesaid trade or parcel of land with all and Singular its appurtnances thereunto Belonging or any wise appertainin (g) and the said George and Rebecca 
doth for themselves their heirs and  assigns doth for ever warrant and Ever Defend the 
aforesaid land and premises to the said Allexander MERRIFIELD and his heirs and assigns 
against their heirs __? and against the claim or claims of any other person for (Crossed 
out) persons whatever Claiming the same. In Testimony where of we have have hereunto 
(Crossed out) Set our hand and affixed our Seals the day and Date first written.
