KY Deed Book A p. 648 Know all men by these presents that I John JENKINS of Hardin County and State of Kentucky for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds good and lawfull money of Kentucky to me in hand paid have hereby granted bargained and sold to James JENKINS of same place all my land situate in Hardin County near the head of Doe run in a grove known by the name of Jackeys Grove, containing by survey two hundred & fifty three acres the same to be to the proper use, Benefit and behalf of the said James JENKINS his heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this seventeenth day February in the year one thousand eight hundred and one. KY Deed Book B p. 222 Philip JENKINS Senr. of the County of Hardin and state of Kentucky to Jonathan ESSERY of the same County and state of the other part that whereas the said Philip JENKINS claims to hold the quantity of five hundred acres of land on the head of Doe run (as assignee of Samuel WELLS) and which is herein hereafter more fully and particularly described by Pattent from the State of Kentucky dated 28 June 1799 and of the Commonwealth the eight and having this day contracted with the said Jonathan ESSORY for the said tract for as relates to the eighty, interest and estate which the said Philip JENKINS Junr. hath therein and no otherwise ... for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars current money hath bargained and sold ESSERY and his heirs one certain tract of land situate lying and being in the County of Hardin. KY Deed Book B p. 254 Philip JENKINS Senr. and Jane his wife of the county of Hardin and State of Kentucky of the one part to John DODSON of the same county and state of the other part that whereas the said Philip claims to hold the quantity of one hundred fifty acres of land on the Buck or double hill grove in the barrens which is herein after more particularly described by Pattant to Samuel WELLS of Jefferson County, state aforesaid, dated 20 April 1791 (?) from the State of Virginia on the third day of December one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight conveyed by the said Samuel WELLS and Mary his wife to Philip JENKINS by a deed indented and now having contracted with the said John DODSON for the said Land ... for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars current money have bargained and sold a tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county of Hardin (formerly Nelson) on a small grove in the Barrons about two miles south east from the head of Doe run and about three or four miles westwardly from Otter Creek containing one hundred and fifty acres. KY Deed Book C p. 28 Philip JENKINS Senr. of Hardin County and State of Kentucky of the one part and Philip JENKINS Junr. of the same County and State of the other part. Whereas the said Philip JENKINS Senr. claims to hold the quantity of two hundred acres of land in the Barrens on the Bee grove which is herein more particularly described by Pattent from the state of Kentucky to John ESSERY Bearing date the sixth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and conveyed to Philip JENKINS Senr. by said ESSERY by Indenture dated 20 Sep 1803 and having this day contracted with the said Philip JENKINS Junr. for the said tract of land for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred and seventy five dollars Current money hath Bargained and sold and conveyed one parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Hardin on a Grove known by the name of Bee Knob about three miles westwardly from Otter Creek and about three or four miles Eastwardly from the Hill grove ...
