All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ky/kyfiles.html ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Patricia O'Connor p-oconnor@att. net September 21, 2007, 12:20 pm Younger's Creek Written: October 10, 1797 Recorded: November 7, 1797 Transcription: KENNEDY deed Hardin Co., KY Deed Bk A., pp 355-357 John to Peter This Indenture made this tenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven between John KENNEDAY and Elizabeth his wife of the County of Nelson and state of Kentucky of the one part and Peter KENNEDY of Hardin County and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said John KENADY and Elizabeth his wife for and in consideration of the sum of twenty pounds current money to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have given granted Bargained and sold and by these presents do give grant bargain and sell unto the said Peter KENADY a Certain tract or parcel of Land containing two hundred thirty Eight and a half acres lying and being in Hardin County on Youngers Creek a south Branch of the Roling fork of Salt River part of two surveys on both sides of said creek one patent bearing date the tenth day of December one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five and the other the twentieth day of April one thousand seven hundre d and Eighty four and bounded as followeth To wit Beginning at a sugartree white oak and black oak one hundred and sixty poles from the south East corner of KENADYS five hundred acre survey Running thence south fifty degrees East one hundred and sixty poles to a white oak and g____ landing between two knobs on an old Buffaloe path leading to the Roling fork thence south thirty nine degrees west one hundred and forty poles to a stake in the said line thence north fifty one degrees west one hundred and Eighty six poles _____ a sycamore and beech to an ash standing on the bank of the said creek thence south thirty nine degrees west thirty four poles up said creed to a small Black walnut on the bank _____ thence north fifty one degrees west one hundred and forty four poles to the back line of the five hundred acre survey thence north thirty nine degrees East ninety Eight poles to PAIRPOINTS corner thence with said PAIRPOINTS line south fifty one degrees East one hundred and seventy po les to another corner of said PAIRPOINTS Land thence south thirty nine degrees west one hundred and sixty poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the said tract or Parcel of Land with its appurtenances to the said Peter KENNADY his heirs and assigns for Ever and the said John KENADY and Elizabeth his wife for themselves and their heirs do further Covenant and agree to and with the said Peter KENADY and his hirs the aforesaid tract of land with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging from themselves and their heirs and from the claim or claims of all and Every person or persons whatsoever unto the said Peter KENNADY and his heirs will warrant and forever defend In testimony whereof the said John KENNADY and Elizabeth his wife hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written.
