Witnesseth that the said William McMULLIN & Sophiah his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to them in hand paid before the signing sealing and delivery of the aforesaid , the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold; and by these present doth grant bargain sell alien and confirm, unto the said Thomas PATTON his heirs etc forever, one certain lot in Elizabethtown known in the Plan of the said town by number twenty containing one half acre, which was conveyed to the said William McMULLIN by the Trustees of the said town by Deed bearing date the 10th day of Sept. 1798 Together with all and singular of its appurtenances thereunto belonging, To have and to hold the said Lot or Parcel peice of ground with all the state right title and interest of them the said William McMULLIN & Sophiah his wife to the said Thomas PATTON his heirs etc forever____ And the said William McMULLIN & Sophia his wife doth for themselves and their heirs Executors or (?) that they will forever warrent and defend the Lot or parcel of ground with all and singular if its appurtainances hereditaments and advantage whatever thereunto belonging or in anywise thereunto appurtaining to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Thomas PATTON his heirs & assigns forever ----- (line missing)---- against them the said William McMULLIN and Sophia his wife and their heirs and every other person or persons whatsoever claiming the same.
