Hardin Co. KY Deed Book B p.  90
Whereas John SHEKELL late of Anarundell County in the State of Maryland and 
by his last will and testament bearing date about the 7th day of October 1783 
Did by said will among other things devise three several tracts of land 
towit: One called Hard bargain, one other called Beard ridge and one other 
called Sorry bargain containing two hundred and Seventy Acres or thereabouts 
to be equally divided among his eight Children towit:  Abraham SHEKELL, 
Richard SHEKELL, Rebecca MAGRUDER, Mary RAY, Susanna RAY, Deborah DULY, 
Francis SHEKELL and Elizabeth BARFORD.  Now this Indenture witnesseth that We 
Richard SHEKELL and Sarah SHEKELL for and in consideration of natural love 
and affection we bear for our son John SHEKELL and for the sum of five 
shillings to us in hand paid have given granted bargained and sold all our 
right title and claim of and in to the said tracts of land in the County of 
Anarundell in the State of Maryland (devised as above mentioned in the said 
Richard SHEKELLS and others above mentioned) and we do hereby transfer, 
Convey all our interest Claim and demand of and to the said land to the said 
John SHEKELL his heirs and assigns forever.  In witness whereof they have 
hereunto set their hands and seals this 26th day of September 1802.
