It is ordered that a Summons isue against Sarah EDLIN admininistratrix and Richard EDLIN administrator of James EDLIN deceased to appear here on the first day of the next term of this Court to show cause if any they can why said John KING should not be released as their security & new security given. _______ Ordered that Henry AMENT be appointed Surveyor of that part of the road leading from HARTLEYS Mill to Brandenburg which lies between the said mill and the crop plains and that all the hands(?) in the following bound towit Beginning at Anthony AMENT's sur. down Rough Creek to the Mill thence to Thomas THOMAS's thence to Joseph HARTLEY's thence to John SMITHER's thence to the Beginning; do asist the said Henry AMENT in Rasping(?) said road in refrain. ________ An Inventory of the Appraisement of the estate of Jacob DUFFNER (DUFNER) deceased was produced in Court and ordered to be recorded. ______ Monday 17th October 1836- On Motion of William JOHNSON who took the Oath required by law and together with Moses THOMAS his security entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of one thousand dollars conditioned as the law directs the administration of the estate of John JENKINS, Senr. deceased is granted him. ________ Ordered that John KING, Peter KENNEDY, James KENNEDY & Thomas QUINN or any three of them do after being sworn before some Magistrate of this County appraise the estate of John JENKINS, Senr. deceased and make report to Court. ______ On Motion of Polly BAILEY who took the Oath required by law and together with Waters J. STOUT and James MILLER her securities entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of Eight hundred dollars conditioned as the law directs the administration of the estate of Walles (Waller?) BAILEY deceased is granted her. ______ Ordered that WilliamTARPLEY, Thomas ROBINSON, Benjamin KEITH, and James YATES or any three of them do after being sworn before some magistrate of this County appraise the estate of Waller BAILEY deceased and make report to court. ________ This day came Philip LOVE one of the Executors of William LOVE deceased and acknowledged a receipt to Bryan R. YOUNG his Co Executor for all the assets of the estate which is received by the court as a settlement on the part of said YOUNG and as such is ordered to be recorded. And the said YOUNG in open court desiring to take no further or other charge of the estate of the Testator renounced his...........(end of copy)... _______ Monday 17th April 1837- Isaiah MILLER is appointed constable of the 11th district of this County and thereupon he took the oath required by law and entered into bond with James CRUTCHER & Washington R. LUCAS his securities in penalty of two thousand dollars conditioned as the law directs ______ John MAYES is appointed constable of the 1st district of this County and thereupon he took the oath required by law and together with Washington R. LUCAS and Thomas PATTON his securities entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of two thousand dollars conditioned as the law directs. ______ Benedict JENKINS & Eleanor JENKINS infant orphans of John JENKINS senr. dec'd came into court and being permitted so to do chose John JENKINS Jr. their Guardian and he was also appointed by the Court guardian for Elisha JENKINS also an infant orphan of John JENKINS Senr. deceased under the age of twenty one years and thereupon he took the oath required by law and together with Lewis JENKINS and Andrew McMILLEN his securities entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of two hundred and forty dollars conditioned as the law directs.
