Tyree, 80, of Elizabethtown, died Thurdsay, Sept. 5, 2002, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. A native of Charleston, W.Va., he retired from the Army after serving in World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a member of the 100th Division and a member of Lincoln Trail Baptist Church. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Edward and Anna Dunning Tyree; two brothers, Walter Tyree and Sammy Tyree; two sisters, Garnett Moore and Anna Kidd; and a granddaughter. Survivors include his wife, Irma Baur Tyree; two sons, Ronnie Tyree of Houston and Mike Tyree of Lexington; a daughter, Carmen Bailey of Rineyville; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The funeral is 2 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Jeff Harris officiating. Burial will be in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation continues at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Lincoln Trail Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
