A native of Stithton, he was a former carpenter for the Mac Construction Co. in Lebanon Junction and a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church in Lebanon Junction. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Agnes Sweat Wise. Survivors include five daughters, Mary Ann Hubbard, Regina Mitchell and Rosie Wise, all of Lebanon Junction, Terri Van Der Spuy of Louisville and Betty Shepard of Boston, KY.; and Betty Shepard of Boston, KY; five sons, Charlie Eugene Wise of Doe Valley, Joseph Alonzo "Lonnie" Wise of Bardstown, Pat Wise of Boston, KY., Johnnie Wise of Corrales, N.M. and Michael Andrew "Moochie" Wise of Hillview; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral was Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Lebanon Junction with the Rev. Mike Tobin, the Rev. Ron Knott and the Rev. Jim Graff officiating. Burial was in St. Clare Catholic Cemetery in Colesburg. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Clare Cemetery Fund. Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction was in charge of arrangements.
