Book I, Page 455 Written: July 10, 1837 Hardin County, KY Settlement Records Settlement-John JENKINS, Senior Book I, Page 455 (Administrator- William JOHNSON) No. 25 The Commonwealth of Kentucky to any Constable of Hardin County Greeting you are hereby commanded to summon the Heirs of John JENKINS dec'd Viz: Austin JENKINS, John JENKINS for himself & guardian for Benedict, Ellen & Elisha JENKINS, Vincent MEDCALF & Wife, Lewis MEDCALF & Wife, Otho McLURE & wife to appear on the second Monday in August next at the office of John MORRIS in Elizabeth Town to attend a Settlement with the Commissioners of accounts(?) with admin. being called on by William JOHNSON admin. of John JENKINS dec'd of Hardin County Given under my(our) hands this 10th day of July 1837. J T McELVANY-several visits and medicine for family(wife, daughter and for William JENKINS-son of John JENKINS, Senior- including quinine. (July, Aug 1836) John JENKINS, Junior, states that he heard his father say that he would pay the medical bills for William JENKINS-now deceased, son of John Senior deceased. There is also a $5.00 payment for the making of a coffin for Wm. JENKINS.
