He was the son of Rev. R. A. and Mary Baker. He married Mollie HOPKINS on Dec 31 1906 and they had 6 children; four girls, Mrs. Clara Owens, Harlan, Ky; Mrs. Ruby Jones, Wise, Va; Mrs. Bonnie Jessie, Wilmington, Del, and Mrs. Ione York, Raleigh NC; two boys, Roscoe, in the Army, and Bob, Jr., at home. He joined the Old Regular Baptist Church in 1910. He leaves his wife, six children, 11 grandchildren, 3 brothers, and two sisters. BLANKENSHIP, Cephas was b: Jan 3 1902 d: Jul 2 1957, at the Miner's Hospital at Harlan, Ky w/cancer s/o Basil Blankenship; he leaves his wife, Rosa, and 6 children. RICE,Mary was born Apr 23 1874; died May 27 1937; married to Johnathan K. McKNIGHT on Feb 26 1893; 3 boys: Denver L. of Conway, Ky; Garfield of Langnau, Ky and Andes who preached her funeral; and Bertha McKinght who thye adopted at infancy. She leaves her two brothers: John Rice of Harlan Co., and Auther of Conway, Ky; one sister: Mrs. Leonard Wynn of Conway, Ky; Her parents: Rev. William N. (2 yrs. ago) and her mother Jude (4 yrs ago) are deceased and her brother Irvin Rice died 19 years ago. CLARK, Henry Elliott s/o Samuel and Janie (Nix) Clark b: Nov 3 1896 d: Jul 20 1964; survived by his wife, Maggie (Bolling) Clark; 4 children, Arnold, Danville, Va; Elliott, Jr. and Hadley Clark both of Wise, Va; one girl, Jessie Williams, Esserville, Va; 3 sisters, Mentie McKendrick, Harlan, Ky; Fannie Smith, Adamsville, AL; Agnes Beasley, Birmingham, AL. Member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. DIXON, Martha was born Dec 6 1879 to William V. and Dicey (COMBS) Dixon in Letcher Co., Ky. She married Joseph E. CORNETT having eight children; she was preceded in death by her husband, 2 children: Curtis and May. She leaves Cahrlie and Earline Whitaker, Crown, Ky, Venters and Mattie Dixon of Whitesburg Ky; Emma Ison of Linefork, Ky, and Joseph Verlon of Harlan, Ky. three sisters: Maggie Brown, Blackey, Ky, Oma Blair, Blackley, Ky, and Anna Bates, Blackey, Ky; one brother: Bryant Dixon, Blackey Ky. One half sister Mary Belle Jarrett, Tampa, Fla, two half brothers, curtis Dixon, Chesterfield, Indiana and Kent of Chicago, Il (last known address). On Jul 7 1940 she married Archie C. CRAFT. STRUGILL, Virgil Lee b: Sept 27 1889, Letcher Co., Ky d: Jan 14 1968 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Jeffersonville, IN; He leaves 9 girls: Mae, Betty, Maxine, Hazel, Anna, Genevia, Nell, Louise, and Monette; a brother: James of Mountain Home, Tenn. He was the son of Calvin and Abbie Sturgill; md: Ida Bell Strugill on Oct 23 1910; worked in Harlan Co, Ky coal mines most of his life. SANDERS, Jacob, born in Pike Co. Ky Oct 27, 1841. In Oct 1861 he joined the Confederate Army . He was married to Mahulda Ison in 1862 and to that union was born, five boys and three girls. In 1909 he joined the Regular Baptist Church and was baptized by Elder G. W. Powell. He lived a humble Christian life until his death Aug 6 1922----Written by W.
