Ashbrook, died at his residence in this city Friday. 18 Nov. 1910 from neuralgia of the heart. He was former mayor of Cynthiana for 17 years. He was 48 years old. Son of the late Thomas V. and Artie Ashbrook. His father died when he was but twelve years old and his mother died six years ago. A brother, Earl, died abut 2 years ago. Survived by wife, who was formerly Miss Nannie Megibben, a daughter of the late T. J.Megibben and Mrs. Elizabeth Megibben. There are four children: Mrs. Thomas Allen of Paris; Miss Artie Ashbrook; Reed Ashbrook and Thomas Ashbrook of this city. Three sisters are: Mrs. R. B. Hutchcraft, of Paris; Miss Sallie Ashbrook and Mrs. J. C. Dedman, of this city. Burial in Battle Grove. Member of the Christian Church. He was two years old in September. A little six year old sister is left. Another little boy died some two years ago. Survived by wife, formerly Miss Lucy McIlvain, three sons: Elbert, Claude and John; four daughters: Mrs. L.D. Stewart; Mrs. G. W. Toadvine; Mrs. J. R. Criswell and Mrs. Hez Harris. Shropshire, born 24 Dec 1837, died 10 Nov 1910. Thomas Irvin Anderson, a native and life-long resident of Leesburg, KY. Born July 1849, died 14 Nov 1910. Son of J. Q. Anderson and Mary Jane Hiles. Married Jan 1890, to Mrs. Ann T. Sutton, joined the Leesburg Christian church 9 Nov 1900. Redd, assistant county surveyor of Fayette, suicided in Lexington by firing a bullet into his brain. He had not been in good spirits since the death of his sister, Miss Margaret Redd about 18 monts ago, who was accidently shot with his revolver. A cousin, Mrs. Thomas Warren, was also found dead in Chicago about two years ago. Thos. Bridges, a builder, fell from High Bridge, near Nicholasville, and was instantly killed. Prof. W. T. St. Clair committed suicide Thursday at the Eastern KY Asylum at Lexington by hanging. He was 45 years of age. Count Tolstoi died in Russia Sunday. He was 82. Ralph Johnstone, a daring young aviator and holder of the world’s altitude record, was killed in Denver, CO. Thursday when his bi-plane collapsed. He fell 500 feet and every bone in his body was broken. Died Saturday of stomach trouble. Aged 64. Miss Mary Wheatley, sister of John L. and Jeff. D. Wheatley, died at her home near Sardis, in this County, Satruday aged about 80. Born to wife of Ingram Shelton, a son. Born to wife of Ewell Gulick, a son. Born to wife of John Ecklar, a daughter. Born to wife of Thomas Wilson, a son.
