J. Rule, have been drowned in the Potomac River near Washington City. One of his two companions also perished. A gasoline launch, in which they were enjoying a ride, took fire and sank. Shuberth leaves a bride of three months. The funeral occurred at Falmouth, on Thursday of last week. Mr. J. N. Spegal, aged 65, died of pneumonia last Saturday at his home in this county. He was a well known citizen and ex-Confederate soldier. He leaves a wife and five children, Misses Birdie, Beadie and Laura Spegal, of this county, W. A. Spegal of Missouri and Tilden Spegal of Colorado. The funeral took place at Salem. At his home five miles from Paris, on the Redmon pike, in the same house where he was born, Washington Redmon, aged 83 years, died suddenly shortly after 9 o'clock Thursday night, Sept. 24, of acute indigestion. He came from an old Virginia Family, his father George Redmon located in Bourbon in 1796. Before he reached his majority he united in marriage to Miss Rebecca Ashurst, who survives her husband after wedded live of more than 66 years. He is survived by his wife and four children, Mr. Solomon Redmon, and Mrs. Castle Redmmon, of Bourbon, Mrs. John Forsythe, of Paris, MO who will arrive to be present at the funeral of her aged father, and Mrs. Fannie Shropshire, of Harrison Co. Pg. 5 Col. 4 Born on the 28th, to Mr. & Mrs. W. F. Renaker, a daughter, Dortha Frances. Born, Tuesday, to the wife of Mr. F. G. Jenkins, a fine daughter - Ruth Gwynn. Pg. 7 Col. 1 Berry Born to the wife of Nute Grayson, a girl. Born to the wife of Charles Pullman, a girl. Born to the wife of Wm. Henry, twins, a boy and a girl. Pg. 7 Col. 3 Mt. Gilead The protacted meeting closed here last Monday night with seven additions. Rutland Thos. Rose received a letter from his brother, James Hawkins Rose, whom he had not heard for 16 years. He is now located at Corn, Oklahoma, and will see the Log Cabin regularly for 1 year. Pg. 7 Col. 4 Barefoot Died, infant of Mr. & Mrs. W. L. Richey. Burial at Mt. Pleasant Monday.
