LOG CABIN Fri. 12 Feb 1909 Vol. 14 No. 7 Pg. 2 Col. 1 RICHLAND Mrs. Rosa Wright, 79, died of comsumption at the home of her dughter, Mrs. Marsh Gillespie. Burial at Baptish Church. Aunt Jennie Cummins, of Claysville, attended the public auction of her brother and walked the entire distance of eight miles. SHe is 70 years old. LOG CABIN Fri. 12 Feb 1909 Vol. 14 No. 7 Pg. 5 Col. 3 DEATHS MRS. ROSANNAH WRIGHT Died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Martha Gillespie, near Kelat, 4 Feb. 1909. Born 3 Oct. 1833 and was 76 years old. She was the second daughter of William and Mary Pugh who died many years ago. Married W. P. Bayless and had four children: James M. Bayless; Mrs. Mary E. King, deceased of Pendleton Co.; Mrs. Rachle J. Rogers, Cynthiana; Mrs. Martha Gillespie, Kelat. In 1869 while these children were yet small, their father was accidently wounded in the waters of the Licking river near Havilandsville. The widowed mother thus left to devise means for the supoot o fher children and to defrya pending indebtedness on their farm, was sorely tested andtried. SHe met the sad conditions bravely and ere long, sh eand her children saed their home where they resided several years at the same time amanaging anc contriving to send the children to school. In 1886 she married to Pemberton Wright, of Pendleton Co. with whom she lived until he died in 1892. Funeral in Sunrise Christian Church on 6 Feb. 1909 by Rev. Samuel Foley. Buried in Old Richland Cem. by the side of her first husband. JAMES R. SMITH Died at Jacksonville on Monday of old age. Father of Newton and Oscar Smith of Bourbon Co., Mrs. Harry Martin and Mrs. Carrie Taylor of this county. Buried at Jacksonville Cem. THOMAS. CLEMONS Formerly of Berry died suddently near Mason, Grant Co. Buried in Family grave yard at Colemansville. Buried at Barterville Cem. on Sunday. PLEASANT RIDGE Born to the wife of Lewis Eaton, a fine daughter. [No date given or place of burial. dh] HAVILANDSVILLE The music party that was given by Mr. John Blackburn Saturday night was quite a success. Those who furnished the music were Frank King, Ray Pollard, Ray King and Lucy Blackburn. Those present were Miss Kate Sellers, Cynthia, Gertie and Grace Whalen, Sadie Dennis, Goldie King, Ray King, Ray Pollard, Carter Huffman, John Sellers, Willie King, Fred Rainey, Charlie Bishop and Joe Antrobus.
