JOHN M. CRAWFORD Sister of Mrs. B. T. Riggs, of Cynthiana, died at Lebanon KY last Friday at her home. She was formerly Miss Sallie Kerr, born Fayette co. 12 May 1835. Daughter of John and Rachel Fry Kerr. Rachel Fry, when a girl, having ridden to Cynthiana to attend school in the pioneer days, returning to her home at the end of each week. Sallie Kerr married Rev. John M. Crawford on 14 Feb. 1863. Aunt of editor of Log Cabin, J. T. Wilson. Survived by husband, one daughter, Miss Mary Crawford, and one son, Rev. C. K. Crawford, D.D., of the faculty of the Louisville Theological Seminary. He sailed last week from Edinburgh, where he had been doing special work at the University, and not arriving in time for his mother's funeral. She also leaves a brother, General John B. Kerr, USS, now stationed at Ft. Levenworth, Kansas, and three sisters: Mrs. B. T. Riggs, Cynthiana; Mrs. Nannie Williams, Williamstown; Mrs. J. M. Wilson, Falmouth. Funeral and burial was held in Lebanon on Monday. MRS. BERTHA MAY WHALEN Nee Humphrey, died 18 Mar. 1909 of consumption. Wife of Robert Whalen and daughter of W. H. Humphrey. Born 10 May 1883, 25y 10m 8d. Leaves husband, sone, Lester, father, and one brother. Funeral held at Sunrise, Friday by Rev. Samuel Foley. H. C. HIGHTOWER Formerly of Harrison Co. died 16 Mar. 1909 at Brookfield, IN of pneumonia. Age 74, buried at Independence. Survived by widow and one son, Henderson G. Hightower. MISS LIZZIE LAWRENCE Age about 60, died Sastruday in Paris. A native of Harrison Co. Buried at Battle Grove Cem. MRS. MARY EATON Wife of Martin Eaton, died of consumption at home in Richland Precinct. Age 46. Formerly Miss Mary Whitaker. Buried in Benson Cem. S. M. DEVERS Age 71, died Thurdday at his home in Cynthiana. His wife died several years ago. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. M. L. Turner and a brother, Ben Devers. Buried in Battle Grove Cem. MRS. CLARK Died in Pana, IL. Mother of Miss Louise Clark who taught in Cynthiana High School for sevearl years. MRS MARY WEBB Widow of Charles Sebb, died last Saturday in Cynthiana. Survived by one son, John Webb and two daughters, Mrs. Nannie Long and Miss Mollie Webb. Funeral in Indian Creek Baptist Chruch. Buried in Indian Creek Cem. MRS. SARAH JANE MILLION Died near Colemansville on Tuesday, age 85. Buried in Pythian Grove Cem. JAMES O'CONNER Died Tuesday in Cincinnati. Survived by wife, nee Rion, Burial in Catholic Cem. Cynthiana.
