Born near Lair 14 Nov. 1841 and married in 1869. Survived by one son, Fred H. Smith, Louisville, formerly editor of Harrison Courier. Also five daughters: Miss Alice, Cynthiana; Miss Edith Smith, Cincinnati; Miss Mary Smith, Teaching in TX; Mrs. Ben Throckmorton, Lexington; Mrs. J. R. Johnson, Richmond. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Nancy Baltzelle, Colorado. Buired in Battle Grove Cemetery MRS. SUE P. SHARP Died at home on Wilson Ave. on Tuesday. Age 62. She was Miss Sue P. Wilson, daughter of late Charles Wilson, of Shady Nook. Born 13 Apr. 1847. Her husband died 18 years ago. Survived by four children: Jack Sharp; Miss Lida Sharp; Miss Marguerite Sharp; Mrs. Lafe Diltz; also her mother, Mrs. Margaret Taylor at age 86. Buried at Battle Grove. LOG CABIN Fri. 7 May 1909 Vol. 14 No. 19 Pg. 7 Col. 6 RARE OLD VIOLIN A rare old violin, 179 years old, is in the possession of Mr. C. M. Coyle, the Pleasant Street furniture man. The violin was bought by Mr. Coyle in Lexington some years ago. It has a very rich tone and may be very valuable. The instrument was made by Joseph Guardnerius in 1730.
