Attendants, Bride's sister, Miss Myrtle Frances Cleveland and Mr. William G. Wiglesworth of this city. Wedding performed by Rev. W. E. Ellis of the Christian Church of Cynthiana. Rayburn - Burns Miss Lucy Rayburn and Mr. John Burns both of this county, were married at the residence of the bride in the Shady Nook neighborhood, yesterday fternoon. Rev. J. R. Jones performed the ceremony. Sipple - Courtney Mr. J. L. Sipple and miss Frances E. Courtney will be married in Lexington today. He is son of Mr. &Mrs. J. D. Sipple and she is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. J. H. Courtney. Coleman - Lillie The Washington Indiana Democrat Aug 3. Publishes an elaborate account of the wedding on Wednesday night of Rev. James Covington Coleman and Miss Mary Ellen Lillie. The groom is the son of Mr. Robert Coleman of this county near Sadieville. They will live in Mt. Zion, GA. Myers - Fogle Elijah Myers, son of Benj. Myers, and Miss Clara Belle Fogle, daughter of Jackson Fogle all of this co8unty were married in Cynthiana yesterday. Born: Aug 2, to Mr. & Mrs. Frank Kinkead, of Batavia, OH, a son - Jack Cummings. Miss Kinkead was formerly Miss Florence Cummins of Robinson, KY. Eva Sloan, aged eight years, daughter of Patrolman Frank Sloan, of Lexington, was instantly killed about noon Saturday by stepping on an electical wire. Cynthiana Democrat Thurs 10 Aug 1911 Vol. 43 No. 46 Pg. 1 Col. 4 Deaths Mrs. Margaret Scott Johnston, wife of J. S. Johnston died Tuesday in Cynthiana. Buiral in Battle Grove. Born in Somerset, KY and survived by her husband a sister in Chicago and a brother in Mt. Sterling (Not named). Jno. H. Hendricks, died at Lexington Sunday night, age 82. Survived by wife, Mrs. Mattie Hendricks and two sons, John W. and Thomas A. Hendricks of Lexington. Also survived by four brothers: Dr. C. T. of Oxford; Jos. Hendkricks of Georgetown and three sisters; Mrs. Jas. Risk of Georgetown, Mrs. Elizabeth Bell of Illinois, and Mrs. Carter of Williamstown. James M. Wakefield, father of John D. Wakefield the well known Lousiville newspaper man, died at Bedford, IN, age 61. Born in Shelbyville, KY, ans is survived by wife, who is the sister of Mrs. Kate Frazer, and three children, Jno. D., Dunlap and Mrs. Katherine Voris. Cynthiana Democrat Thurs 10 Aug 1911 Vol. 43 No. 46 Pg. 1 Col. 5 Walter Jones found Dead The Augusta (KY) Chronicle says: Walter (Dock) Jones, aged 25 years was found dead in be at the home of Mrs. Kate Taugott, Wednesday morning, 2 August 1911. Son of John Jones of Cynthiana. Survived by father, mother, and a brother. (Not named.) Cynthiana Democrat Thurs 10 Aug 1911 Vol. 43 No. 46 Pg. 1 Col. 6 MURDERED The headless body of a woman was found in the sewer at Cincinnati, Friday. It was found to be the body of Bertha Courtney, daughter of the late Jas. Courtney, who lived in Harrison County just across the line from Hinton, Scott County. The murder is supposed to have been committed by a Negro named Charles Jones. The unfortunate woman had two brothers living at Cincinnati and her mother still lives in Hinton. Bertha Courtney is said to have been married to George Farmer, some years ago and later to Harvey Sebastian at Hinton. Elsei was the graduate of Midway F. K.O. S. A few years ago. Dad and mMam seem very proud of their little son Born July 27, to wife of J. Holt Clark, a son Homer Taylor. Mrs. Clark before marriage was Miss Mattie Whitley. They have one daughter and four sons. Whitaker and wife of Oddville, Mr. Taylor's sister, were guests of Mr. & Mrs. Taylor last week. The 12th day of August 1911, Mr. & Mrs. Whitaker will have been married 50 years. Mrs. Taylor of Bourbon County was at the bedside of her brother, Mr. David Taylor this week.
