Survived by wife and five children: Homer Reeves of Missouri; Tom and Luther Jr., Miss Jessie Reeves, an accomplished and popular school teacher of Harrison Co. and a young daughter, Alberta. Scudder, for several years editor of the Carlisle Mercury, died on 7th inst. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. H. Harris, of Paris. John Rolf, of Covington, brother-in-law of Mrs. Lucas Mathias, of Carlisle, was found dead in bed Wdnesday. He had been ill of Bright's disease. Burial at Antioch. An unusually pretty home wedding took place at the country home of the bride' s parents, Mr. & Mrs. William Cummins, when the lives of William Bentle and Miss Cora Lee Cummins were linked in the holy bonds of wedlock. Mrs. Drusilla Collins, widow of Nelson Collins, whose death occurred some two years ago, died Sunday at the home of her son, James Collins, near Perry school house in the vicinity of Washington, Mason Co. Cain Smitson, a former well known resident of Robertson Co. died at his home in the mountains of Fleming Co. a few days ago. C. G. Colyer Sr. aged 75, father of editor C. E. Lancaster, wife of ex-county school superintendent J. R. Lancaster, died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Malinda Redding, at Josephine, after a lingering illness of TB, age 30 years. Clark, deceased and grandson of Mr. & Mrs. William Nunn, who thirty years ago were among the wealthiest people in Bourbon county. Survived by one brother, C. C. Clark of Millersburg and one sister, Mrs. U. V. W. Darlington, Parkersburg, WV. Buried in Millersburg Cem. Cynthiana Democrat 21 Apr 1910 Thursday Vol. 62 No. 30 8 Pages Pg. 5 Col. 3 Mrs. Alex Oder Dead Last week's Democrat contained a notice to the effect that Mrs. W. A. Oder had died on Tuesday in California, and that it was probably Mrs. Alex Oder, formerly of Robinson in this county. The Sharpsburg World confirms the notice as follows: "A telegram was received here Tuesday forenoon announcing the death, that morning, April 12, 1910, at o'clock, of Mrs. Lula Thompson Oder, wife of W. A. Oder, at Rosedale, CA, of dropsy of which she had been ill for some time. The internment took place at Los Angeles yesterday. Mrs. Oder was born in this county and was a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. R. L. Thompson, both deceased. After her marriage she resided in Harrison county for a number of years but several years ago the family went to California on account of Mr. Oder's health. They resided in Los Angeles where Mr. Oder was in real estate business, but recently he purchased a large farm at Rosedale, where they were living when Mrs. Oder died. Mrs. Oder was about 48 years old and besides her husband, she leaves one child, a daughter, Elizabeth, 16 years old. She is also survived by four sisters: Mrs. Omar M. Ratliff and Mrs. Roland J. Ratliff of this place; Mrs. William Smith of Flemingsburg and Mrs. Claude Vimont of Millersburg. Hutchings, aged 87, died at Carlisle on Frids. He was the father of E. R. Hutchings, formerly of Cynthiana. In memoriam. Gone but not forgotten. In loving remembrance of Fessie Berry, who died 19 April 1909. J. J. Marquet, prominent Pendleton county farmer, died Tuesday. Born To Mr. & Mrs. Robert Million, a daughter. Mrs. Million was formerly Miss Sarah Mason. To Mr. & Mrs. Robert Florence, a daughter. Fifth born, first daughter. He was the second son of Arthur and Sudie Marsh Woodward, Central Ridge, Robertson Co., near Claysville. Burial at Milford. Survived by two brothers: Wilmer and Corbin, four grandparents, a great grandmother, Mrs. Hammond.
