Bachelor. Survived by two brothers and five sisters: James Caldwell, W. H. Caldwell, Miss Mollie Caldwell, Miss Alice Caldwell, Mrs. John Shadd, Mrs. P. W. Broughton all of Harrison Co. and Mrs. Davis of Indianapolis, IN. Buried at Battle Grove. Mrs. Julia Frank, of Paris widow of L. Frank, died at Chautauqua, NY on Monday. Sister ofProf. E. Amende who resides in Alabama. Survived by several sons and daughters (not named). Maj. Sam Bigstaff, Bath Co., member of Morgan’s Brigade, C. S. A. died Sunday in Newport age 67. Buried at Evergreen Cem. Survived by wife (not named); sister, Mrs. Kate Victor; daughter, Miss Nazzie Bigstaff; son, Frank Bigstaff. Hazle Bedford, age 14 months, daughter of Spencer Bedford died near Boyd on Sunday. Buried at Pythian Grove. Mrs. Carter Moore, 70, died in Scott Co. Friday. He husband died of neuralgia of heart on 21 June. Clarence Johnson, age 2 years, died 15 August. Son of M. E. Johnson. Buried at Georgetown. Dr. J. M. Wells, 57, of Nicholas Co., died Friday. Survived by wife, two daughters and five sons (not named). William Dinsmore, an old Nicholas citizen, is dead. Thomas H. Stevens, died in Butte, Montana. He had been at the university since 1885. Jessie Howard, 7, died 1 Dec 1911 of diphtheria. Johnie Puccini, 6, died 4 Dec. 1911 of diphtheria. Misses Mat and Lou Morgan are visiting their sister, Mrs. T. J. Langley and numerous relatives and friends. Miss Lou goes to visit a brother in Carter Co. this week. Miss Mat will remain here a week longer.
