Buried at Clintonville. Cynthiana Democrat 5 Sep 1912 Thursday Vol. 64 No. 50 Pg. 1 Col. 5 Deaths Jackson Spegal, 78, died 29 Aug. Buried at Salem. Survived by three daughters, three sisters and a brother. Daughters are: Mrs. Ida Geoghegan, Mrs. Ellen Reeves and Mrs. Street Hatfield. (Brother and sisters not named). Two of his daughters, Emma and Jennie died a few years ago. Mrs. Eliza Hollan, 50, died near Connersville, Wednesday. Survived by daughter, Mrs. Chas. Whalin and three sons: Will, Mart and Charley. Charles J. Lang, formerly of Cynthiana, died in Jackson, TN on 30 Aug. Born in Cynthiana on 24 Aug 1877. Son of Mr. & Mrs. Pierre Lang who were from the same part of Germany but were not acquainted until after their arrival in this country. He married Laura Edna Dale, who survives as does a daughter, Miss Amelia Anna. Also survived by mother, Mrs. Anna Lang, Memphis, TN, a sister, Mrs. Will Charlan and a brother, Will Lang. Buried in Georgetown. His mother’s sister is Mrs. B. O. Gaines in Georgetown, KY Mrs. Frances Adelina Cannon, 78, of Scott Co., widow of Thos. T. Cannon, died on a train while en route from Missouri to Georgetown. Infant child of Rev. and Mrs. B. F. Cosby, died at Butler of diphtheria. Buried at Battle Grove. A. W. Hopper, age about 66, died 19 Jul in Raleigh, NC. Buried at Confederate Cem. His wife, sister of Mrs. W. G. Craigmyle, died in Cynthiana in the spring of last year when her clothing caught fire at a grate. Cynthiana Democrat 5 Sep 1912 Thursday Vol. 64 No. 50 Pg. 4 Col. 3 Connersville Emery Sidney, infant son of Sidney Smith, died on 1 Sep. Buried in Smith GY near Gilead. Willie Hinton, died Friday. She died of consumption. Born 1 Aug 1892, in Scott Co. Daughter of Henry M. and Dorcas Carr Hinton. Niece of Mrs. Laura Conner. Buried at Battle Grove.
