BRANSFORD was born February 15, 1874, in the county of Edmonson and state of Kentucky. He was the eldest son of Henry and Alice Bransford. He attended school in the rural district, finishing his course under Samuel Ferguson, of Brownsville, Ky. He professed a hope in Christ under Reverends L. Shobe and John Garnett, February 10, 1895 and claimed a call to the ministry the same year licensed to preach by the Pleasant Union Baptist church which connection he has held since while in school in Frankfort, Ky. He was called to take charge of a church on Elkhorn Creek, this being his first charge. He is now pastor of Bearwallow Church, Woodsonville, at Rowletts, Ky., and Queens Chapel at Hiseville on the following days: first named, 1 Sunday, 4th Sunday and 2nd Sunday.
