Andrew M. Polston, Civil War Union Soldier, of the 33rd KY Regiment, Company B, was honored with a Memorial Marker Dedication Service Saturday, May 4, at the Polston Family Cemetery, Cub Run Highway, Munfordville. The program went off well in spite of early morning rain. The rain stopped early and the cloudy skies made the weather and the temperature most comfortable. There were 40+ individuals in attendance for the very touching service. We were surprised to have a Confederate Soldier, Calvin Childress, in attendance with Margaret "Maggie" Ruth Bennet and Ryan Bennett in present day military uniform. After the ceremony, everyone went to Wilkerson Temple Methodist Church Grounds' Pavilion for a potluck lunch and more visitation.
