She was a Green County native, a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Ausbon and Margaret Thompson Houk. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Dexter Houk. Survivors include her husband, Keith Bastin, Cave City; one son, Steve Bastin, Hiseville; two duaghters, Julie Taylor, Cub Run, Sandra Parsley, Cave City; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2002, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
