Cox, 89, of 9916 Silverwood Lane, died Tuesday at Georgetown Manor Nursing Home. She was the former Emma Bacon, a native of Hart County. Survivors: two daughters, Mayme Thompson of Charlestown, Ind., and Violet Courtney; two stepdaughters, Lillian Lindsey of Horse Cave and Nellie Gambrell; four stepsons, Louis, Charles, Dawson and John Cox; two sisters, Virgie Huff of Munfordville and Flora Meredith; a brother, Lawrence Bacon of Cub Run; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Funeral: 1 p.m. CST Thursday, Hawkins-Brooks Funeral Home in Munfordville, with burial in Horse Cave Cemetery. Visitation after 2 p.m. CST Wednesday.
