Houk, 73, died at 12:45 a.m., Wednesday, March 21, at Caverna Memorial Hospital. She was a Hart COunty native, a homemaker and a mother, a member of Horse Cave Christian Church, a member of Eastern Star and the 13 Homemakers Club. She was a daughter of the late Henry L. and Annie C. Edwards McKinney. Survivors include her husband, Chris Houk, Horse Cave; one son, David Houk, Horse Cave; three daughters, Christy Ramey, Bee Spring, Betsy Manship, Bowling Green, Ashlie Kirby, Murfreesboro, TN; 11 grandhildren, Emily Ramey Whaley, Allan Ramey, Austin Ramey, Justin Manship, Jaime Houk, Andrew Houk, Lauren Houk, Kathleen Kirby, John Patrick Kirby, Erin Kirby, Cara Kirby; one great-grandchild, Nicholas Gunn, III; one brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Sammy Jane McKinney, Louisivlle; one niece and one nephew and several cousins. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2001, in the chapel of WInn Funeral Home with burial in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Horse Cave Chrisitan Church Building Fund; Gideon's International or the donor's favorite charity.
