Survivors include his wife, Mrs . Ora Childress Hester, Route 2, Munfordville; 2 daughters, Mrs Millie Dean Ash and Mrs. Anna Sue Zajac, both of Route 2 Munfordville; a son, Donald Eugene Hester, of Louisville; 6 grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Katie Thompson and a brother, Earl Hester, both of Cub Run; Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday under the direction of Sego Funeral Home, at Cub Run Methodist Church with Rev. W. R. Appleby, officiating. Burial in Cub Run.
