Hedgepeth and Mrs. Lucy Like Hedgepeth, was born 24 October 1896 in Green Co. and departed this life at 9:05 p.m. Sat. 1 Mar 1980 at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He was 83 years, 4 months and 6 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ 25 years ago. He united in marriage to Miss Ona Bastin, who preceded him in death. To this union was born 1 daughter, Mrs. Helen Doris Hedgepeth, who also preceded him in death. He later united in marriage to Miss Flossie Lile, 9 Jan 1935, who survives. To this union were born 1 son and 1 daughter: Mrs. Opal Stearman, Summersville, and Jessie Hedgepeth, Greensburg. Mr. Hedgepeth is also survived by 1 sister, Mrs. Beulah Lawson, Glasgow and 1 brother, Homer Hedgepeth, Louisiville; 9 grand- children and 2 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 1 pm Tues 4 Mar 1980 with burila in the Whickerville Cemetery. Rev. Gilbert Larimore officiated. Pallbearers were: Ralph Stearman, Steven J. Stearman, Dale Hedgepeth, Leslie Paul Stearman, R.T. Stearman, and ROllin Hedgepeth.
