Died: Tuesday, 28 Dec 1999, Baptist Regional Medical Center, Corbin, KY, age 89.
Born: Hart Co KY
Became an active Southern Baptist minister at age 21, pastored churches in Hart,
Barren, Grayson, Warren and Taylor Counties; member Greenland Baptist Church in
Corbin.
Moved 1961 to FL and served as executive director of the Brevard Co FL
Association of Retarded Citizens; held position for 3 yrs before becoming
executive director of the Southeastern KY Rehabilitation Industrises from which
he retired in 1974.
Son of: C C and Mary Susan Burd Houk, decd.
Survivors:
Son: Charles Allen of Corbin
Daughters-in-law: ALice McCubbin Houk of Corbin and Helen Houk of Louisville, KY
9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, several
nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by:
Wife: Loretta Houk
Son: William Donald Houk.
Services: 1 pm Friday, 31 Dec 1999, Winn Funeral Home, burial Horse Cave
Municipal Cemetery.
