"Miss Sophia" as she was known to her many friends, taught school in Hart County for 14 years and was an active and beloved member of the Wilkerson Temple United Methodist Church until her illness. Five generations were represented in the above photograph taken last summer; Mrs. Jacobs to the extreme left, her daughter, Mrs. Luvena Brent, granddaughter, Mrs. Vada Fryer, great-granddaughter, Mrs. Diana Verbonitz and great-grandson, John Verbonitz IV. At age 90, Mrs Jacobs left a legacy of love and spiritual wealth to her daughter, mrs. Luvena Brent, Mundfordville, her son, Mr. Logan Jacobs of Louisville; 9 grandchildren;27 great-grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren.
