July 24, 2002 Ivy Marie Kirk, 82, of the Masonic Home KY, the former Ivy Marie Goldsmith, a native of Hart County, KY, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at Norton Audubon Hospital. She was a retired regional activity director in Louisville and Southern IN and attended the University of Louisville where she taught folk dance and art. Ivy was a recreation supervisor for the Jefferson County Metro Parks and a member of Queen Esther Chapter #1 Order of the Eastern Star and Shively Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris E. Kirk. She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Marie Blanchard; two sons, Daniel E. and Morris H. Kirk; two sisters, Dorothy L. Lewis and Mary Rose Fisher; two brothers, William L. and Thomas H. Goldsmith; several nieces and nephews, including a niece, Jackie Minton, who cared for her; 11 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Funeral: noon Thursday, July 25, 2002, at Arch L. Heady & Son, 7710 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Goldsmith Family Cemetery, Grayson County, KY. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday.
