The Hart County native was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was a daughter of the late Joseph Melvin Philpot Wilkerson. Survivors include three daughters, Lois Murrell, Columbia; Betty Lou Schuck, Pleasureville, Patty Wilson, Munfordville; four sons: Elmer Walters Jr, Munfordville, Thomas Walters, San Diego, CA, Marvin Walters, Louisville, and Robert Lamb of Shepherdsville; 22 grandchildren; 29 great- grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; One sister, Catharine Jaggers, Munfordville; and one brother, Delba L. Wilkerson, Louisville. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Daisy M. Walters and Sharon Lamb; one son, Albert Walters; two brothers, Jake and Joe Wilkerson; her first husband, Elmer Walters in 1978; and her second husband, Robert Lamb in 1982. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. CDT on Saturday, April 22 in the chapel of Hawkins-Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Curry officiating. Burial in Mt. Beulah Cemetery.
