July 30, 2002 Vera K. London, 85, Cub Run, died at 10:00 EST, Monday July 22 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. The Center native was a retired school teacher with Hart County Board of Education and a member of the Cub Run United Methodist Church, Cub Run Eastern Star Chapter and the Cub run Homemakers. She is survived by one brother, Robert Wayne Kidd, North Salem, Indiana; special friends, Chris and Frank Cook; Munfordville; Donna A. Richardson, Elizabethtown; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Garnett and Minnie Davis Kidd; her husband, Flavil London; and a daughter, Wanda Prosser. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. CDT, Thursday, July 25, 2002, at Hawkins-Brooks Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Pruitt officiating. Burial was in Horse Cave Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Hart County Public Library Summer Reading Program.
