"Plug" McCorkle, 74, Hodgenville, formerly of Mundfordville, died at 3:35 a.m. Thursday, July 18, at the Caverna Memorial Hospital, Horse Cave. He was member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church and a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Wilda Edwards McCorkle; and a brother, Charles McCorkle. Survivors include a son, William T. McCorkle, Hodgenville; two daughters, Anna Brown, Sonora; Ella Owens, Radcliff; a brother, Edward McCorkle of Vine Grove; four sisters, Edna Devore, Hodgenville, Louise Hall, and Flossie Fogle of Louisville; Lila Sidebottom of Vincennes, Indiana; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2002, in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home, Munfordville. Burial was in Munfordville Municipal Cemetery.
