Ogden Elizabethtown - - - James Robert Ogden, 62, died Monday, August 5, at the University Hospital, Louisville, Ky. He was a native of Hart County; a member of Falling Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Upton, a 1958 graduate of Hart Memorial High School; a member of Hardin County Beef Cattlemen's Association and the Kentucky Salers Association. He was a very active leader in the Hardin County 4-H Club, a farmer and formerly worked at Gates Rubber Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Joshua and Annie Lee White Ogden and a brother, Joe Ogden. Survivors include his wife Shirley Knight Ogden, Elizabethtown; three daughters, Gwen Patterson, Hodgenville; Connie Kersey, Radcliff and Michell Ogden, Elizabethtown; one step-daughter, Marsha Meers, Rineyville; one brother, Carl Ogden, Cave City; one sister, Nancy Sutherland, Buffalo and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, August 9, 2002, at 11 a.m. EDT at Falling Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Logsdon and Rev. Billy Vincent officiating. Burial was in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Brown Funeral Home, Elizabethtown was in charge of the funeral.
